Founded in 2013, KALAJU TRANS started as a small family-owned business that served the North-East suburbs of Chicago. Jeffrey Kane, who at the time had just lost his job in the medical industry, sought an opportunity in the lack of variety of transportation services, in particular in the Jewish community. He had been driving for various transportation companies. He decided to create an alternative for his fellow Jewish citizens in Chicagoland with the simple goal of serving his community.
